my first MA project exploring post-industrial landscapes through 35mm black and white documentary photography. focusing on local spaces connected to industry, labour, and community, the work documents former shipyards, urban decay, and the closure of the NGC.
photographed during a period of growing political tension and economic uncertainty, the images examine how decline, identity, and social atmosphere become embedded within everyday environments.
photographer and moving image practitioner working with autobiographical approaches to image-making. my work explores how place, identity, and lived experiences intertwine.based in northern england, my practice focuses on wokring-class environments shaped by industrial change and considers how social conditions and ideology show in everyday spaces. i work across landscape and portraiture.i am currently studying an MA in the visual arts, building a practice that combines documentary and autobiographical approaches to contemporary visual culture.
